| My first Xanga post as a UCD Aggie, hollaaaa! Fall quarter was awesome. Winter quarter, not so much. I'm taking seventeen units this quarter (three more than last quarter) And I can feel the burn and the almost never-ending stress. I definitely wrote more essays this quarter. More than ten for sure. However, I feel like I had less reading, which is good. Seventeen units is totally do-able. I just didn't manage my time wisely this quarter. Finals are this week! I'm supposed to be writing my paper. But yeah, a few breaks here and there. Wish me luck!

| I think I'm okay with the fact that my summer is ending in a month. I'm excited for college and I just wanna go already. But I still have a lot of things to do--buy a bunch of dorm stuff, fill out a health insurance waiver, reserve textbooks, sign up for payment plans, etc. Residence hall assignments haven't come in yet, but I'm hoping I get into a triple with Lisa and Kathleen! And I have to remember to contact the band director of the Concert Band for info about percussion auditions. So what's left of my summer? MB Family Day, Hillsong United at Jubilee, hanging out SMT, the Olympics, birthday parties most likely, and television season premieres! Can't wait for Gossip Girl and One Tree Hill, hahah. Heroes comes after move-in and I hope I find cool people to watch it with in the dorm! Alrighty, that is all for now! See yaaaaa. | | |
| I graduated from high school on Wednesday, but it doesn't feel like it at all. Bittersweet? Yeah, a little. I'm afraid I'm going to lose touch with my friends. Especially those who aren't going to Davis with me. And the probability of losing touch is pretty high. But I'll try not to let it happen 'cause they mean so much to me.

| If you didn't know already, my youth group went to Spirit West Coast in Monterey from August 2nd to August 4th. Basically it's a three-day event filled with morning services and great music throughout the day. Highlights included the Newsboys, Third Day, Aaron Shust, and Switchfoot.
Originally, I was supposed to make a video of our experiences and show it to my church on August 12th, but I wasn't able to record all of the testimonies in time. Conflicts kept coming up, so I couldn't record the last testimony until last Sunday. But now the video is done! I showed it to my church today and they enjoyed it. Oh and I made a blooper video, too! Yeah, that one had the whole building filled with laughter, hahah. :)
Okay, here they are! (Sorry, the testimony video is 9+ minutes long, but it's still worth watching!)

| On Saturday night, I came back from the Stockton youth fellowship! It was truly amazing and spiritually refreshing. I loved being with the Stockton and Orosi youth! :)
"Reach Connect Grow" was the fellowship's theme, stressing the idea that there are three kinds of people: those who need to reach for God, those who need to connect with God, and those who need to grow with God. Those who need to REACH know OF God, but have yet to truly accept Him as their Savior. Those who need to CONNECT have accepted Him, though are hindered by barriers that fully commit their lives to Him. Lastly, those who need to GROW with God must take it to the next step and share His goodness with the world.
My youth leader asked me to make a video of our group's experience, so I recorded everyone's testimony of what they learned besides reach, connect, and grow.
I edited for about five hours after coming home and produced an okay video. James had to edit the audio because voices were static-y and there was alot of background noise (others' voices and the wind). We presented the video at church yesterday and I was happy I received some positive feedback. The audio was still static-y, so I tried editing it last night with Adobe Audition, but the program is too complex for me. :/ I gave up, did some last-minute video editing, and uploaded it onto YouTube.
Enjoy! Feedback is love! :)
